another one gone..

Well there goes another one of my boys. My little boys that I've grown up with for the past 5 years or so. Elder Josh Klein had his farewell today and might I add, he did incredible! I can tell he's ready to go out and serve our Lord with all his heart, might, mind, and strength. I've loved getting to know Kleiner of the years and I have learned a lot from him, like I really am hysterical when I say "Happy Birthday" like Gus Gus does on Cinderella. Klein is one of the most humorous people I've met in my life. He never fails to make you smile and honestly laugh out loud. He is a wonderful son of God and he knows that. He knows this gospel so incredibly well, I'm kind of envious. I'm so excited for him to go to Germany where his family is actually from and teach of the happiness that we all share and know.
While at his house eating food Kate, Britny, Klein, Kmetzsch, Jana, and myself all had a good reminsing session talking about all the funny things that happened in madrigals and over the years. It was so good to laugh with all of them again and I know that no matter what happens, we'll always be friends and have those memories to push us through anything. So here's to you Klein! Best of luck buddy! and "Happy Birthday" :)

This weekend I also had the chance to catch up on some good times with my dear friend Taylor Davies. We went to the ReAL game and I wanted to scream! It was insane!! At half time it was 0-0. by the end of the game ReAL made some magic and pulled off a 6-0 win! ah, it was beautiful! Mathis, (even though he's rather old..) made a SICK shot off a corner kick. He was standing at the far post goal box corner and took it out of the air and nailed it into the back of the net. It was incredibly beautiful:) ah, I love soccer. After the game we went back to taylors house and played with his family. By the way, I'm marrying into the Davies family mostly for his parents, Bill and Shelly. Shelly is an outstanding woman who never ever stops working. She seriously works herself to the bone even when she doesn't need to. She's incredible!! Megan (taylor's sister) just had a baby girl about 8 weeks ago and she's gorgeous. Tay and I played with her for while which allowed Megan and Shelly to get the house ready for the babyshower the next day. The Davies are phenomenal people. If you haven't met them, you need to. You don't fully live until you get to know their family. They're simply great!

I never thought I'd see the day..

I never though I'd see the day when I would learn a Miley Cyrus dance. Now I know you all are possibly just laughing up a storm, but just you wait and see the video Nicole and I made of us doing the dance while the rest of our roommates were gone to A night up on the Quad. Nicole and I had a very pleasant bonding experience and seem to have had a lot of those lately. I love nicole. She's so so so remarkably beautiful and such a stunning woman. I look up to her a lot and am glad we have all next year together also. But anyways!

This is going to be a short blog. Mostly just posting some pictures and such and I'll edit and explain more in detail later.

Reminicing? ..memories are great to look back upon.

So for the past..uh.. I'd say hour or so, I've been going through facebook photos and had some good laughs on the random eventful times that have taken place in my past. I just love nights like these where you turn on good acoustic music, get a big glass of water, and look at old pictures that stir up old memories.
I don't think I've looked at these pictures for quite some time, and tonight was great. I was reminding of a few wonderful events that are so great, they deserve to be shared with you; even if they are some of those "you sorta had to be there" moments.

#1. I came across a picture of Britny Mortensen filling up her car because it ran out of gas on the way to Camille's house. Mind you it was very very late at night. Like possibly around 12 ish? I'm not very sure. But it was quite the adventure helping her out. Oh, she's wonderful.

#2. New York City, the Big apple. Wow! It's crazy to think that right now this years Viewmont high madrigals are there. I miss NYC so much. Even the night I publicly threw up in the hall of the hotel. Let's just say that moment was the talk for the rest of the week. Was I embarrassed? yeah, slightly. But then I rolled with the punches and laughed along, because after all it is pretty funny. Completely disgusting, but still very humours.

#3. Viewmont Tennis. Wow! I never thought I'd miss something so so much! I fell completely in love with all those girls and wish I could just squeeze their little hearts out next time I see them. We had awesome times as a team. Skinny dipping in St. George, quoting sidney's "sick shot paige" every day, only playing queen of the court and defender at practice, how when you were late to practice Coach Nick made you run from the VHS courts all around the school and back, Coach Nicks last famous words, "BATTLE YOU MIGHTY VIKING WOMAN", Jasmine getting upset with Coach Nick numerous times every day, Bus rides with our cute little snacks, supporting each other through everything, especially at State when Sid had some heartbreaking news that morning but still played her little soul out on that tennis court. It was wonderful! I will always been influenced by those girls and wish they knew just how much I really love them!

#4. Madrigal Christmas shows. Wow.. talk about INSANE! 23 shows in 4 weeks.. that yells good times. Especially because by about the 6th show everyone was exhausted plus already starting to get annoyed with one another.

#5. All those crazy summer nights. Chalking, bonfires, etc

#6. Making a music video to Picture to Burn. wonderful.. and how none of us could lite our paper on fire but Whitney.

#7. Dance parties at Britny Mortensens house. And her wonderful dress ups. :)

#8. Our game of "blow the ping pong across the table" at Stacie Hymas's house. That could entertain us for hours on end, but without a doubt always leave us with the worst headache.

#9. Senior trip. Wow! Great times! Laying out every single day, playing in Mexico, hearing stories of Stacie, Amanda, and Camille getting hit on by nasty nasty men, getting Virgin drinks and
really feeling mature, spying on extremely gross old couples dancing by the pool and taking pictures of them and so much more.

#10. Graduating and all night party.

#11. Snow fun with Stacie and Britny. We're really just the coolest people you'll ever meet. And just wait until we're all together, then it's a real party. We would drive around for HOURS during Christmas break looking for blow up toys to go take pictures with. And oddly enough, we never got sick of it. Even to this day!

#12. Just being with everyone. There was never a dull moment when we all got together, we shared embarrassing stories, laugh attacks, heartbreaks, new loves, everything. I love you all! so much!

Why friends are like tampons..

It's been quite a while now and I figured some pretty exciting things have taken place that I should tell the world about. Ok actually not really, but It seems to have been exciting, at least to me.

Well to start off, you're probably wondering why the title of my blog is "why friends are like tampons". I'll tell you, in edited form, to spare some of you peeps. Well anyways, back to why it's called that. Once upon a time I had a lovely caring loud roommate named Rascal, Candace Weller. It came the time where her date of birth was fastly approaching; and me, being dumb, can't ever ever EVER think of what to get people for their birthdays. Even when I ask all they say is, "Kij, don't worry about it. I don't need anything!" well of course they're lying.. dirty kid. Anyways, so I somewhat forgot about her birthday because it had already past, and she was home for the time being so it was kind of hard to not have little rascal so intensely making her self noticeable by how loud she can be, that I just had forgotten. Not about her, just the whole problem of me not knowing what to get the little squirt. So yesterday, being April 8, I finally told myself that enough was enough. I HAD to get her something, and fast seeing how her birthday was March 28. (I'm still sorry about the belated birthday candace, I still love you)

So I'm trying to think of things to get her and all that came to mind was sport shorts, sports bras, or a tin water bottle. Exciting, I'm aware. But really, that's all she ever really wears. Not in a bad way whatsoever. In fact, I have now caught on to her ways and I'll never look back! :) So Sian and I made a very unproductive trip to sports authority where I kept finding things I wanted. Bad news.. But don't worry. I refrained from buying myself anything! But still looking out for things for Candace. I saw many sports bras but then thought, that might be a little weird.. what if I get her the wrong size and she takes offense to it? I couldn't possibly take that chance. So then I had this brilliant idea...(MEN: I am not held responsible if you feel awkward or uncomfortable from this moment on. If you don't want to take the chance to feel weird feelings and might be embarrassed reading this, then STOP NOW! but if you are care free and mature and can handle things that girls talk about.. then proceed:)).. back to my story.. So then I had this brilliant idea. Tampons. Every girl could always use more tampons. I mean, let's be truthful here. I then had decided that that was what I was going to give her. Later that night I drive on over to Wal-Mart blasting Kelly Clarksons "My life would suck without you" with the windows rolled part way down, because after all I still live in Logan... it's a little brisk at times.

While I'm buying the tampons I proceed to think of how to explain myself when I had her the box. Then I thought, hey! I'll write some reasons down as to why friends are like tampons. It turned out pretty hysterical I thought. So here they are!

Just a few reasons why friends are like tampons:
#1. Friends come in all different shapes and sizes
#2. They will be there for you through heavy times and the lite.
#3. You should always have them on hand
#4. You can never have enough
#5. They provide great protection
#6. They know your insides better than you do (Sade helped on that one)
#7. When you don't have any, it's embarrassing
#8. They are always there for you in your time of need
#9. They will always stick through even the nastiest of times
#10. They'll make sure you won't lose your virginity
#11. When you use them for too long they get upset.
#12. They will go with you to every party
#13. They will be understanding and stick around even on the worst days
#14. They are pretty on the outside and do wonders within
#15. You never have to show them off because you always know they're with/in you.

Well team, there you have it. If you have ever wondered if friends could be compared to tampons, it just got proven that they can. In many ways. And probably more than I would like to think of so that's why I left it at that. If any of you girls have no idea what to get your girl friends, feel free to use this idea. I promise it will not fail you.
