missing

So... I miss this:

I miss..
the people,
the sectionals,
the songs,
the heart melting harmonies,
the support,
the comfort,
the theory,
the inside jokes,
when Ms. M would swear,
when Twitchell missed his solo. twice.
the insane amount of Christmas concerts,
the laughter,
the car rides to performances,
the mis-haps of performances,
when people showed up late, very late to a concert,
the sharing of tick-tacks, gum, and cheese-its,
the art of jumping off the chairs during AP week...

I miss Britny dancing alone.
I miss the unity we all had, almost like a quilt.
I miss dancing in those dresses.
I miss, at times, the annoyance of others.
I miss New York.
I miss being good at singing.
I miss singing for others.
I miss the womans dressing room.
(i'm not gay, I promise)
I miss chewing gum in choir and getting away with it.

I do NOT miss:
the beat boxing from the boys,
the tapping of my chair from behind,
or the high-fives.

Familiar

this feeling I'm under. The stress. The cold. Anxiety. Excitement. Annoyance. It seems all too familiar. You want to know why? Cause I feel like it was finals for spring semester. And here I am again.. doing the same retinue.

-7:03 alarm goes off
-moan on the thought of getting out of bed
-turn off alarm
-lay in bed thinking "10 more minutes"...please..
-think about what I need to do that day
-think about how cold it'll be walking up the hill
-still thinking about those 10 more minutes I so desperately want

And then I think of FINALS! Stress comes very easily to be when I think of Finals. and how I should have been studying forever ago. But let's be honest, that doesn't happen. You've got other things to do! Like eat food, other assignments in classes, catch up on the latest boy gossip in the apartment, watch prison break(don't watch it until you know you have time to finish all the disks..seriously though.)

But then I think, the only way I get through that thought of unbearable stress is being able to come home to an apartment of incredible girls who are my best friends. We all know what everyone is going through, and always know just what to say. Even if it's a simple "Hey! How was your day!?" from Flin or a good boy story from Nicole. Even when Amber and I yell at each other, it makes my day.(gets my stress out too) And when you can hear Candace entering the door before she even gets to the top of the stairs. When Sade plays her music. I love them.

I'm so immensely grateful for the friendships we've made since living together. I can't see my life without any of these girls and it's going to be sad when two of them leave next week. So I guess I'll just take a moment and share my thoughts about them..

Candace:

wow. I knew she was put into my life for a reason when some of my best friends from high school found out that she was my roommate. She had met them doing Close Up in DC. Once Chitty and Brian found out that we'd be living together, that's all they'd talk about. They told me she was the most caring, friendly, down to earth person they've met and, they were right. Candace has changed my life and it'll be incredibly sad she won't be around to break any and all silences that are in our apartment. (the few times there are silences, she will undoubtedly be the one to break them) I've loved her from the moment I heard about her. This year has been bomb between us. I love her laugh, I love her yelling. I love it when she's completely out of control when she doesn't want to go to class and I also love that she ditches class now! I love that she puts up with my slight Michael Buble obsession and will listen to him and sing along. She's one of my best friends. We both share a great love for music and recently "Breathe" from Taylor Swift became one of our songs. She's an amazing musician and I admire her for her talents. She's brilliant and self-less. Her smile is contagious and I love her hugs. As you can see I could go on and on about her. Those of you who know Rascal know what I'm talking about. You couldn't get a better roommate than her. I love you Rascal! Come home soon.. :)

and

Sade:

I love this girl. She's so sweet and funny and so patient. Weird thing is, she won't be back. She's graduating. Done and Gone. Plus Brandon stole her from us (we're still bitter about this one) Although I feel like I haven't had a lot of interaction with Sade this semester between her being gone with Brandon or sitting in her room studying and talking to Brandon, haha, I'm still completely grateful she's roommates with us. I had the best time last year sharing a room with this amazing woman and it's weird to not have her around as much. I miss it. I know she'll be very happy in life with the things that are ahead of her and I wish her the best of luck. She's beautiful and smart. I mean, seriously.. She's graduating college at age 19. Insane. But she's wonderful! Logan won't be the same without you.

I'm going to miss these girls so much and the more I think about it the more sad I get. Which can't happen right now! Bleh! I have FINALS to worry about!

FINALS- Frick I Never Actually Learned this Stuff...

so true..

I'm excited to go back to LOGAN because...

I miss my roommates more than ever. Really. They're all incredible people and I probably don't even deserve them to be honest. They have changed my life and I thank them for that. Hopefully one day I can truly show them how much they mean to me. We all go through hard times and sometimes push those who are most important to us away because we don't want to be considered "weak" in their eyes and I'm afraid I sorta did that spring semester to some of these girls. I love them so much. They mean the world to me and I can't believe how lucky I got to have them in my life. God truly places people where others need them, and I know that he did that for me. Without these girls I don't know where I'd be. We've gone through a lot and I still love them more than ever! fall semester..please come faster so I can squeeze these gorgeous girls again.

We had the most amusing time taking our Christmas pictures last year. Or at least I did. Flin on the other hand was getting pretty tussled because we couldn't focus to just take a picture. I think that night we all had the Weller curse with picture taking. Oh, and look at Candace! I can almost hear her rascal cackle through the face she is making. haha. I love it.

Oh how I love this girl! She is so hysterical with the things she says and does. Her Eggo's, her berry juice, watching seasons of friends at a time. She always kept us intrigued with her Caitlin logic. 70, I love you.

Mama flin. She probably finds it a tiny bit annoying we all say she's the mom of us all. But she kind of is. Emily Flinders is the most perfect person I've ever met. And I'm being serious. She's incredibly intelligent and I'm quite jealous of her mad dance skills. Honestly, she always made me want to be a better person. Better at visiting teaching, better cook, better organization, a better friend.
Best. roomie. ever. Sade is the cutest thing. We had some weird times, but I would never give them up. She understood my immensely lame humor and laughed when no one else did. She's the greatest! I'm going to miss having our late night chats, waking up to her laughing in her sleep, her adorable indie style, and our venting sessions for just about everything. She's my best friend.

Huss. hahaha. Oh man, she's so wonderful. I love her hatred towards certain people, the way she can always make anyone laugh, no matter how bad of a mood you're in. Her usher impersonations are one in a million. I'll have to post some of those videos.
This girl right here became one of my very good friends. She's so funny and doesn't let people walk over here. I truly admire that about her. I love her dearly.
what to even say about Sian. I look up to her in every way. Honestly. She's hysterical and I only wish to be as awesome as she is with her Beyonce singing. Don't they look like the same person? I will admit, I have mistaken Sian for Beyonce quite a few number of times when I hear If I were a boy. I looooooooooove her.
Hay hay is gorgeous. I've always been jealous of her. She's funny with her swearing habit, and her funny stories about what happens when she goes running.. (some of you might know what I'm talking about) haha.
Nicole Leona Lewis. Wow. This girl is my love. Seriously. Besides of my envious feelings towards her perfect skin tone, her long, healthy, thick, beautiful hair, and her scrap booking talents, I love her. A lot. We've had some awesome nights just the two of us learning dances, making Christmas cookies, and just talking for hours on end. She's amazing. Really. I only wish I could be half the person she is. I owe a lot to her.
and rascal. Save the best for last. She completes my life! Who knew. Brian Simmons once told me that me and Candace would get along. He was dead on. I love this girl probably more than I love Federer or Michael Buble. She makes me laugh so so hard and I love her little laugh. It's addicting. She's a freaking genius too and right now resides in Spain where I hope she will fulfill my wish and go hook up with some fine piece of Spaniard. she's bueno.

and I still shed a tear every once and a while..

Taylor and I have been really really good friends since about the 8th grade. I look up to him so much and he continues to bless me life. We were officers together in 9th grade and I'm surprised he survived once Noelle and i got a hold of him. Noelle would stick skittles up her nose and shoot them at taylor, without him knowing he just thought we threw them at him, so he ate it. And he almost died while drinking his drink at Robintions when noelle and I attacked him with the blowfish face. He's wonderful. and I'm glad we didn't kill him :)

Meet the beer belly chadd. I remember talking to Philip early fall semester and him saying chadd had developed a so called "beer belly" since they have started school. I didn't believe him and low and behold.. Chadd sure had put on some weight, but seemed to have embraced it by this picture. he said it was easier to keep his drink on his stomach now that he had a little extra to live with. Bless him.. Bless. him.

I miss nathan princess kasparian. He's wonderful.

Kmetzsch is just so cute, and such a trooper to go to angels and demons with three girls and him. He loved it though.

Wow! I miss philip a lot. He became one of my best friends. We had a strong bond through our crushes on Michael Buble. haha.

I will always love stephen, even when he lied to Katie Cutler and i about a girl named "Fi Fi" that he was in love with. He claimed that fi fi meant swift river. Little did he know, katie and I got him back by making up a man named "Fo Fo" meaning big rock. Oh you gotta love jr. high memories.

HAHA! i LOVE brian steven simmons. He's honestly the greatest person there is. If you know him, I'm sure you can't help but agree. He is such a strong spirited guy and knows how to make anyone crack a smile! Between his "I'll decide" and "that's plenty of time to make a baby!", brian quotes often find a way out of my mouth to this day without even realizing.

Adam and Douglas. They're cute together, don't you think? Doug was trying the new "butt crack" look while adam was attempting to be Link off of hairspray.

Oh landon is so great! There are times I defiantly didn't give him enough credit. But I truly admire him for the way he lives his life. He's incredible.

I just love Kendall. That's really all there is to it. I love everything about him. haha.

And dearest dereck. Poor guy. Stacie and I nearly embarrassed him to death when we sang "7 things" by miley to him in front of all the people at the YSA campout. It was a grand ol' time. Huh stac? haha.

I'm so proud of all these boys and miss them dearly. They're wonderful and always full of surprises. I challenge everyone to write on of these boys they haven't heard from in a while, I know they appreciate it a lot. It gives them extra motivation and encouragement. Even a little "hello" makes their day!:)

Reminicing? ..memories are great to look back upon.

So for the past..uh.. I'd say hour or so, I've been going through facebook photos and had some good laughs on the random eventful times that have taken place in my past. I just love nights like these where you turn on good acoustic music, get a big glass of water, and look at old pictures that stir up old memories.
I don't think I've looked at these pictures for quite some time, and tonight was great. I was reminding of a few wonderful events that are so great, they deserve to be shared with you; even if they are some of those "you sorta had to be there" moments.

#1. I came across a picture of Britny Mortensen filling up her car because it ran out of gas on the way to Camille's house. Mind you it was very very late at night. Like possibly around 12 ish? I'm not very sure. But it was quite the adventure helping her out. Oh, she's wonderful.

#2. New York City, the Big apple. Wow! It's crazy to think that right now this years Viewmont high madrigals are there. I miss NYC so much. Even the night I publicly threw up in the hall of the hotel. Let's just say that moment was the talk for the rest of the week. Was I embarrassed? yeah, slightly. But then I rolled with the punches and laughed along, because after all it is pretty funny. Completely disgusting, but still very humours.

#3. Viewmont Tennis. Wow! I never thought I'd miss something so so much! I fell completely in love with all those girls and wish I could just squeeze their little hearts out next time I see them. We had awesome times as a team. Skinny dipping in St. George, quoting sidney's "sick shot paige" every day, only playing queen of the court and defender at practice, how when you were late to practice Coach Nick made you run from the VHS courts all around the school and back, Coach Nicks last famous words, "BATTLE YOU MIGHTY VIKING WOMAN", Jasmine getting upset with Coach Nick numerous times every day, Bus rides with our cute little snacks, supporting each other through everything, especially at State when Sid had some heartbreaking news that morning but still played her little soul out on that tennis court. It was wonderful! I will always been influenced by those girls and wish they knew just how much I really love them!

#4. Madrigal Christmas shows. Wow.. talk about INSANE! 23 shows in 4 weeks.. that yells good times. Especially because by about the 6th show everyone was exhausted plus already starting to get annoyed with one another.

#5. All those crazy summer nights. Chalking, bonfires, etc

#6. Making a music video to Picture to Burn. wonderful.. and how none of us could lite our paper on fire but Whitney.

#7. Dance parties at Britny Mortensens house. And her wonderful dress ups. :)

#8. Our game of "blow the ping pong across the table" at Stacie Hymas's house. That could entertain us for hours on end, but without a doubt always leave us with the worst headache.

#9. Senior trip. Wow! Great times! Laying out every single day, playing in Mexico, hearing stories of Stacie, Amanda, and Camille getting hit on by nasty nasty men, getting Virgin drinks and
really feeling mature, spying on extremely gross old couples dancing by the pool and taking pictures of them and so much more.

#10. Graduating and all night party.

#11. Snow fun with Stacie and Britny. We're really just the coolest people you'll ever meet. And just wait until we're all together, then it's a real party. We would drive around for HOURS during Christmas break looking for blow up toys to go take pictures with. And oddly enough, we never got sick of it. Even to this day!

#12. Just being with everyone. There was never a dull moment when we all got together, we shared embarrassing stories, laugh attacks, heartbreaks, new loves, everything. I love you all! so much!
