let's get out of this town tonight

so.. I need to get out of Utah.

really badly. I need to get out and explore the world while I actually can. There are so many places I want to go and oddly enough, I feel like I don't have time. Which I don't. Or at least I won't once I get married and such. So as of right now I have 3 goals. And I will do all I can to make these happen.

1-Go to Jerusalem with Brother Maughn and his group he takes every summer.

2-Visit Linda in London. Which then includes walking onto center court at the Wimbeldon. Enter through the same doors that Roger Federer, the Williams sisters, and many more have so eagerly stepped through in hopes to become the new champion.

3-Serve in Ecuador. Kelsie and Camille have both had this chance and I've only heard praising things of that opportunity from them since.

I want to travel. More than I ever have before. I would also like to go to Dublin and experience the Irish traditions and accents. But we'll save that one for later. Much later.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about what to do with my life. School is important but for some reason I've been feeling it's ok to take breaks. It's ok to go and do things while I'm young. I want to give my life to serving in one way or another. I want to be a performing missionary in Navuoo. I want to go on a mission one day. I want to visit church sites and expand my knowledge on the teachings and history of the church. Most importantly, I want to give my life to the Lord. I've never felt more desire to do so until this year.

my best friends wedding.

WELL! There she goes, she's gone. :) Larissa got married last Friday and I've never attended something more perfect in my life. Seriously though, the weather was perfect, the food was perfect, the temple was perfect, and the company was even better!! While we were waiting for Jamo and Riss to come out of the Logan temple as husband and wife, my heart was pounding harder than I thought it even could. I was so excited for and Jamo! They are adorable!! Congrats my friend:) So besides the fact of locking my keys in my car at the reception and having to drive all the way back to Centerville from Morgan, and then back up to Morgan to retreive my car, It was a perfect day!! :)

Jody Nicole, myself, and Sade waiting outside the temple for the newly married couple of joy.

aren't they just so adorable!

us :)

We were really excited. haha.

Awwwww... :) my heart..

heavenly messages

I love days when you drive slow for no reason but to thoroughly embrace your surroundings.
When someone cuts you off while driving but instead of getting upset, honking your horn, and using colorful words you simply smile and say "they must be in a hurry"
When you drive past the temple and see what seems to be thousands of family and friends gathering in support and happiness about the beginning of an eternal family. Where best friends are sealed together for time and all eternity
I love days when you have random bursts of energy and take it out by dancing around your kitchen
when you don't get ready all day long and don't care how gross you look
when nothing seems to get on your nerves. Not even when your father eats your ice cream that boldly states that it is yours and only yours on the lid
when you really notice how god blesses you in simple little ways
when you really realize how remarkable life really is
I love days like today
whoever knew that temples had mailboxes?!? I sure didn't
I guess you do learn new things everyday..

Temples. What would we do without them?

So in all seriousness this isn't going to be one of my "get people laughing and believing I'm an incredibly funny and hysterical person" post. This is more serious. Lately I've been attending the temple a lot more than I have in the past little while. Weather it be getting in the Jimmy, driving past the Logan temple for a total of 4 minutes or doing baptisms in temples I haven't been in yet; I've grown a lot and come to know a better understanding of things that have been happening in my life.

I've always been a regular church-goer, pray, read my scriptures. But lately something inside me has changed. In a good way. I don't even think I can explain it on this lovely blog of mine, but all I know is there isn't any place better than the temple. I've had some remarkable experiences in the past couple weeks by attending the temple and I can't seem to get enough of it! For example... Cooper, Sjhawn and myself had the incredible opportunity to attend the Salt Lake temple a couple of Fridays ago. I had never been to the Salt Lake temple which is unbelievably sad because I've lived a short 15 minutes away from it my entire life! I fell in love. I really believe that is the temple I want to be sealed for time and all eternity with my husband when that day comes. It's phenomenal!!! The spirit was so strong, the people so so nice (they could tell it was my first time because I apparently looked rather lost and confused, which I was) and I just love the feeling you get once you take your first step inside the temple. It honestly is as if you just walked into a whole different world. The glowing hallways, perfectly white carpets, the enjoyable silence, the peace. It's so neat! Cooper, Sjhawn and I spent a long time in temple square that day and I didn't want to go home. I felt such a strong sense of peace come over me, which is just what I needed at that time in my life.

I don't know where I would be without this gospel, I don't want to even imagine where I would be. I love where I am. I love that even though I'm not perfect, I can be made perfect through Christ. One day I will be perfect. Over these past couple of years and defiantly since I've been away to college, I have truly been blessed to say that Christ is my best friend. I couldn't ask for anything more. If I were to lose everything I have, I know it would all end up ok because of my knowledge of the love Christ and Heavenly Father have for me. Through prayer I have come to know I am heard. They do care. And they do answer. They know me. They know what is best for me. And I know that when I am doing what I am supposed to be doing that they look down on me with bliss and let me know I'm doing what is right by the spirit I feel in my life. Even when it's hard, I know I'll be blessed. Satan is a smart man. He knows how to bring us down and make families fall apart. But I know that if we pray to our father, he will help us over come the temptations Satan puts before us. D and C 10:5.
